My husband and I loved everything about this guesthouse: the beautiful view (including a spectacular sunset), the peacefulness, and the minimalist modern/boho decor! The bed was super comfortable. It was convenient to “Gourmet Ghetto,” with so many great eateries, and it was such a pleasure to come back to the guesthouse after hikes and meeting old friends. Vanessa was friendly and responsive. We hated to leave!

A perfect location in the hills. So peaceful and beautiful. Very cute room, bathroom and well stocked kitchen. Walking distance to the Greek (if you don’t mind hills) Having coffee on the terrace was serene and great for bird watching. Great weekend getaway

It was a second time we stayed in this lovely guest house, and we enjoyed every minute of our stay, bird-watching, looking at the gorgeous bay view, and taking walks in the beautiful neighbourhood. The host Vanessa and Arthur were very responsive to our questions and requests, which helped us settle down into the ideal work/vacation mode.

This Airbnb has a terrific location - the view from the deck is simply wonderful. It is up in the Hills and I was initially concerned about parking, but this turned out to be a complete non-issue. It is also a reasonable walk down to (a bit more challenging up from) campus. The shortcut stairway down past Codornices Park cuts a bit off the route. I stayed for three weeks but the absence of on-site laundry facilities did not turn out to be an issue as we were able to use the large, spacious and generally quiet "Wash & Fold Laundromat" on Shattuck. The Airbnb has everything one could wish for, and we had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay - I would not hesitate to return.

We loved Vanessa's place. It was just as described in the photos, with a beautiful view and a good location. The place itself seemed designed by an architect, it was thoughtfully laid out maximizing the use of a relatively small space well. We would definitely come back to Vanessa's place!

This is a comfortable, clean, relaxing place in the Berkeley hills. My daughter and I retreated there to reconnect and recharge, and it kept us both comfortably, with a little room to spread out and be together or apart. The furniture is a little different from the photos - the living room has a very comfortable couch and a dining room table that seats 6, in addition to a relaxing chair that we never sat in. The neighborhood is quiet and calm and away. We "had to" take the car to run errands or get around - a little closer to shops or campus would have enabled us to walk. It was a hot long weekend and the AC worked well, but we didn't use the outdoor spaces. We didn't want to talk to the hosts, and they left us alone, which was perfect. We had a nice chat when we came across each other as we were leaving. All good!

We had such a wonderful time in Vanessa’s and Arthur’s place - an incredible view from the balcony overseeing the Bay Area. Such a stylish bedroom, excellent mattrace and just a wonderful ambience! We will for sure come again!

Vanessa and Arthur were incredible hosts in one of the most beautiful places we've ever stayed. The views over the ocean can't be beat, and the style is as stunning as it is cosy. We walked down Tamalpais Path through a park and the rose garden on our way to and from breakfast and dinner at cute neighborhood restaurants (Saul's, and Tane Izakaya). We were able to walk to and from the Greek Theater for a great concert. What a wonderful relaxing weekend! We would be lucky to stay here again next time we are in town.

A fantastic place to stay for a peaceful weekend. Quiet, clean, and cozy. Lovely view of the bay, nearby to parks and great spots for a bite and a coffee. A peaceful retreat in the hills I'll be wanting to return to for some time. Sitting on the deck overlooking the Berkeley Rose Garden and the bay while listening to the ringing bell of the nearby monastery was a sweet highlight. Everything about being hosted by Vanessa and Arthur was simple and hassle-free.
